You don't cast this one from the menu, you should have gotten a book inside the study in your house in Tarkas. Interact with it to see which rooms you can currently create.
Hi, love the game so far! Artwork is well made, i like the story so far, theres a fair bit of mystery thats keeping me engaged, the only issue im having is that im seemingly unable to save? If i save and load within the same session its fine but closing the tab, then opening it back up and trying to load shows empty save files, even if done within minutes of each other. Any tips?

I am not 100% sure what causes the issue, but I'd check if the game's folder and/or the files inside are set to "read only", try to set the .exe of the game to run as an administrator, and if neither of those work you might try to move the game to a folder that likely doesn't have any access restrictions (like "documents") and see if that changes anything.
Let me know if one of these fixes the issue for you.
I do hear of false positives from time to time, so I guess this would be just another case of that. If the installer seems fine, just use that, in case you don't trust my game, but the files are the same.
Ngl except tutorial (that is legit broken), you need to test start chars to see what them give and inspect all shops to see what's the best start, classic start seems weak asf. Also you will use magic very much and transformation not for combat or regen like in rest of the games, just to interact with things around you.
For that chapter, you must also complete the quest "Blood Ties". Check the walkthrough, if you need more details (the walkthrough is linked in the game's folder).
Did you complete the first temple? If you did, simply go to your house, in the study, so you can write down what you learned to advance to the next chapter (basically, you decide when you are ready to start a new chapter, as long as you meet the requirements).
Usually, you also get a prompt in the world map that reminds you of this, when you have fulfilled all the steps.
so dev yeah i wanted to ask a question. i totally forgot this was my first time downloading an rpg game. if it were renpy then there was no problem but since its not would you mind telling me how do i transfer my saves from this version of the game to the new version when its released here becuase i don't want to repeat all the quests again you know .
Also at the end when you save uncle is it the end of the game or there is something more planned for the ending?
The saves are in the game's folder, so you must copy/paste them before deleting the old version. They are there together with the game.exe, so they should be easy to find.
That's the ending of the game. I don't know how much you did of the side content, but you probably saw a bunch of events related to how you played and which questlines you finished. You can continue playing afterward, but the ending is basically 99% finished (there might be a new questline which will be featured there in the future or maybe one more relationship will get mentioned if you got to its end, but that's about it). If you go to the tattoo parlor you can get a tattoo for left/right arms, a tramp stamp and a pelvic tattoo (as well as some piercings). Some relationships might or drunk scenes could force one or more of these on you as well. If you become a cowgirl, you get a magical brand on your butt (I don't know if that counts as a tattoo XD).
If you get pregnant (you must go to the doctor to confirm the pregnancy), you get the option to retire, and if you do, you get a slightly different epilogue depending on who's the father. No main path ending, though, since there is already a pregnancy system, I decided to keep everything related together.
The walkthrough is incomplete, but what's there should be up-to-date, and there isn't a lot missing. If you notice anything wrong or missing that you want in there, let me know and I might add it next time I update it.
This old version of RPG Maker actually isn't cross-platform, sadly. I heard some made it work with virtual machines and other workarounds, but natively it simply isn't compatible.

Generally speaking, most of these characters aren't getting more scenes at this point. The game has been in development for quite a while, so I am trying to avoid tweaking paths where I reached my original goals.
As for petplay, I'd have to think about it, because it might overlap a bit too much with the ponygirl path.
Pony girl path was also one of my fav paths only the fact that mc was bought as a slave did kinda turn me off

Most games allow you multiple paths at the beginning only to force you to choose one at the end. It makes me sad you know xd.
No offense at all, don't worry. All ideas are appreciated, I just wanted to make sure you knew if something could be added/changed or not, since you shared your suggestion (it wouldn't do to leave you without knowing, I think). For the most part, when I consider tweaking a scene for repeatability, it keeps the same themes and looks as the last one, and I just change the text to work by having a more "generic" version. Usually, I try to remove dialogues, for example, so it's not weird that the characters just say the same thing over and over again, but there are no hard rules.
I left the game open for pretty much all relationships at the same time. I avoided a classic dating sim structure, and you just get individual endings for each character if you get far enough with them and then finish the main quest. I don't know if that was the best choice, but it's how things turned out. :)
On your take for the dating sim structure I appreciate that you didn't follow that because it does get monotonous after sometime

Like for example in uni, a game by hizor at the beginning you can date multiple characters but towards the end the characters do meet up with each other and fight and accuse mc of cheating so the mc has to choose

The endings don't clash, you can in theory get the ending for every girl that has one in a single playthrough. I was considering some sort of strife, at least in specific situations, but opted against it in the end. Some characters have a separate "bad end" (which just means that canonically the protagonist "retires" if they go through with those), but if I remember correctly I made it so you can check out most of those and then rewind back to the regular gameplay. Characters who have those might not be featured in the general ending, which I think makes sense.
Characters featured in the general ending (each with their own short, separate recap) are: Ariel, Kira, Beatrix, Lea, Dominique and Carla (I think Sonya and Eliza, the futanari, get mentioned too). Characters with "bad ends" are Edith, Lady Pendleton and Eliza (there are more, but the others are all men, if I am not mistaken). I might have to add a scene for Edith in the general ending anyway, since it seems like she is the odd one out in this case.
If you mean the image gallery, it's in the menu. if you mean the replay gallery, sadly there isn't one. I didn't think to add it early on, and now there are just too many scenes. It's kind of long work to collect them, remove any code that might affect the path progression and make sure I am tracking the unlocks correctly.
Don't know how to report bugs, but it seems that for the academy exam, if you do the magic circle test first and fail the fireball, then even if you land the fireballs on the seperate targets you fail.
Checked that this was the issue by restarting from Chapter 2 again and did the targets first and I passed.

Glad you got it solved. I will say that you should be able to switch among a few modes using F5 and F6, so you can try those out as well, if you want to see the difference. The game is very low resolution, so it's going to look pixellated, but that's not something I can fix, sadly.
hi I came across this gem of a game yesterday. halfway through the game already and I must comment on the pics are so beautiful, especially the mc and the story is quite intriguing. You rarely see rpg games with consistent drawing and that to so beautiful to look at .
I just cannot get enough of the story and the artwork. Congrats to the artist of the game and the writer ( if both of it's you I have no words to say ,any sort of praise after that will just not be enough for you and I mean it :) )

Hi there! Glad you are enjoying the game! ^_^ The game actually got 2 different main artists over the years (plus a handful of one-offs, and several more for the non-sexy parts), so it's not as consistent as I would like, but I think it looks good verall, and I am happy to hear you liked the art.
I do the writing and design myself, but not the art. It already takes too much time as it is, I can't imagine trying to do the art myself!
There are certain paths which are romantic in nature, and some are with girls (in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the relationships you can get are with ladies, actually). I don't know how much you have seen of the game already, but there is a fair amount of BDSM content. I generally don't do extreme content, as I am a bit squimish. XD
I hope you'll have fun in the future as well! By the way, you should have a link in the game folder to the "H-scenes list". It's fairly incomplete, but it might give you an idea for some of the characters and their romance (if there is romance to be found with them).

Idk if this is the right place to report it, but I've encountered a bug when talking to the hidden dragon that crashes the game. This is on 0.9997a. Here's a the exact error message I get, something about an unclosed bracket
It's perfectly fine to report bugs here, don't worry. This one will be fixed in version 0.9998 (it should go public 2-3 weeks from now), sorry for the inconvenience.
In chapter 1, you should get a quest from Charles (he is a guy outside of the mage guild). No matter who you side with, they recommend you and in chapter 2 you get a letter from the academy (you might have to go to sleep before receiving the letter). After you read the letter, just go to the academy (it's in Tarkas, in the noble district) and talk to the girl at the desk. You have to pay to take the exams, so maybe save before if you try to get in.
Let's see the series of inputs should be right, down, down, left, left, up, up, right, down, left, right, down, up, right, left, up. Basically you begin and end always at the top. First you do a circle clock-wise, then a cross counterclock-wise.
There are some hints in the dialogue, but basically you must cast a lightning spell on the two statues near the top-left and top-right corners of the second floor for the safe to appear. Remember that you have a link to the walkthrough in the game folder, that should give you more help if you need it.
You must talk to each member (starting from the lowest one in the ranks) and challenge them (or ask them what it would take to recognize you as above them). Each one has different standards. Currently, you can't challenge the alpha but this will change in the future.
there is a glitch that if a quest takes place at a time when you have a scheduled job you will still be teleported to the job and glitch out of the quest area
the one I encountered this glitch on was Noblesse Oblige and it made me not use the system much more after that so don't know what other quests this might happen on
Okay, this one will be fixed in version 0.9998. It's pretty rare for quests to force a time skip mid-quest, and off the top of my head, I can't remember if there are any other in Tarkas (which is the only place where the schedule should trigger). I think you should be fine using the schedule, but I can understand if you don't want to risk it (the schedule has been a very late addition, and so it hasn't been tested with a full playthrough).
New installs shouldn't come with saves, so I am not sure what happened. Sometimes, there are issues with files being set to "read-only", and that can delete files when you try to save over an old file. A similar thing can happen if the game is installed in a folder which doesn't give you full access.
Other than trying to recover the lost files with a program like recuva, and maybe move the game to a different folder (like, something inside documents) to test if it happens again, I don't know what you could do.
I am not familiar with how Genshin Impact does it. I have a changelog on my Patreon, so if you play from version to version, you should be able to figure out what's new that way.
I see! An NPC with news about accessible quests you haven't discovered yet is an interesting idea, I'll think about how to add that into the game. Maybe a journalist or a beggar whom can tell you what's the "word on the street".
I love everything about this game, BUT it really needs an upgrade to MV/MZ to account for different screen resolutions, mouse / touch interaction, etc. What are the chances?
Safe to say, 0 chance. There are too many scripts (some of my own and a lot from third parties), which wouldn't be easily converted. If I ever make another RPG Maker game, I'll pick MZ (assuming something better doesn't come up later), but for Caliross, we are stuck on VX Ace.
Definitely sounds like a problem. What happens when you try to save? Is it possible the game folder and the file inside are set to "read-only"? If that happens, trying to overwrite a save causes issues, I think.
Hey I have a problem with V0.9995. After the Quest One More Song, the transformation options are locked (they are greyed out and make buzz sound). I can't use transformation for Mouse and Fish form. I got stuck in the Quest Rendez-vous With Fate, because you needed Fish transformation.
Any solutions for this? My only option now is not doing One More Song Quest.
Patrons voted for more content to be added to 1.0, and given what was popular enough to be included in this extension, I think I'll need at least 6 months of development.

You can get it on with Chief Neroma, if you want. It's not a full path, but there is something there (and if he gets you pregnant, you can retire with him, if you so choose).

I am really sorry, I should have been more careful about that one. I hope you didn't lose a lot of progress. By the way: in general, I recommend using multiple save slots, there are a lot of possible branches and such, and sometimes you might want to re-do some stuff, if you don't like the final result.
I assume you also have the zanti maid and have progressed far enough in the cowgirl path to where you choose if you want a bad end or keep working for them outside the farm.
The other requirement is talking to Angelica in the morning or the afternoon (might have to talk to her twice, if you never spoke to her before).

I'm just sort of tired of the amount of adult games on Itch.io where the female protags are always the submissive partners, getting shit done to them and never being the ones who instigate it, like if you are playing a male character you get a power fantasy, if you are a female protag you are someones bitch. It's getting tiring for me.
Well, obviously the game isn't for everyone. You can have regular relationships and some with a slighly dominant slant for the protagonist, but the bulk of the content is submissive in nature. You can pick and choose (there is almost no content you can't avoid, assuming you don't fail a mission and get stuck with some mind-control artifact, or lower your willpower enough that you can't say no in the few instances where that matters), but my games have always been this way.
I am sorry if this message came off as harsh, it's just a trend I'm seeing with a lot of these types of adult games and I just wished it wasn't the case.
No problem, I can understand wanting something different, especially if you feel like most games aren't catering to you (I usually don't like most games with a male protagonist XD).
On the plus side, making games is easier than ever. Maybe you can try your hand at it, if you feel like that angle really isn't covered, currently. You don't need to make a sprawling epic for your first game (in fact, I'd recommend you don't try something big at first), and it can be fun (although I'll say that playing a game and making one are completely different experiences, so it won't necessarily satisfy your desire to play a certain type of game). When I first started, I made text adventures as a hobby at first, without any Patreon or even donations for quite a while (I didn't even consider it at first, I just wanted to make games), and it's perfectly viable.
Anyway, getting back on track, the game is free, so you can try it out, and see if there is anything for you (of course, it's still going to cost you time, but it can't get cheaper than that).
I appreciate the encouragement, it has been something I have been considering for some time, as I'm mostly an artist and streamer myself, not really a game dev kinda person. But the notion of 'fine I'll do it myself' has popped into my head.
I think that's a good motivator (I made at least one game out of disappointment in how choices and consequences are treated in videogame sequels, for example). As long as you have (or develop) an understanding for logic and puzzle solving, making games is possible (it can be easier or harder, depending on your platform of choice, and how much you want to customize the game). Ah, I've just discovered the issue, entirely a me issue - I'm completely tech illiterate and just found out you have to extract RAR files

Generally speaking, most of these characters aren't getting more scenes at this point. The game has been in development for quite a while, so I am trying to avoid tweaking paths where I reached my original goals.
As for petplay, I'd have to think about it, because it might overlap a bit too much with the ponygirl path.
Pony girl path was also one of my fav paths only the fact that mc was bought as a slave did kinda turn me off

Most games allow you multiple paths at the beginning only to force you to choose one at the end. It makes me sad you know xd.
No offense at all, don't worry. All ideas are appreciated, I just wanted to make sure you knew if something could be added/changed or not, since you shared your suggestion (it wouldn't do to leave you without knowing, I think). For the most part, when I consider tweaking a scene for repeatability, it keeps the same themes and looks as the last one, and I just change the text to work by having a more "generic" version. Usually, I try to remove dialogues, for example, so it's not weird that the characters just say the same thing over and over again, but there are no hard rules.
I left the game open for pretty much all relationships at the same time. I avoided a classic dating sim structure, and you just get individual endings for each character if you get far enough with them and then finish the main quest. I don't know if that was the best choice, but it's how things turned out. :)

Like for example in uni, a game by hizor at the beginning you can date multiple characters but towards the end the characters do meet up with each other and fight and accuse mc of cheating so the mc has to choose
In this game Clara and Kira both know I love both of them, I am asking beforehand if such a situation will arise

Where can I find the gallery section in the game?
The endings don't clash, you can in theory get the ending for every girl that has one in a single playthrough. I was considering some sort of strife, at least in specific situations, but opted against it in the end.
Some characters have a separate "bad end" (which just means that canonically the protagonist "retires" if they go through with those), but if I remember correctly I made it so you can check out most of those and then rewind back to the regular gameplay. Characters who have those might not be featured in the general ending, which I think makes sense.
Characters featured in the general ending (each with their own short, separate recap) are: Ariel, Kira, Beatrix, Lea, Dominique and Carla (I think Sonya and Eliza, the futanari, get mentioned too).
Characters with "bad ends" are Edith, Lady Pendleton and Eliza (there are more, but the others are all men, if I am not mistaken). I might have to add a scene for Edith in the general ending anyway, since it seems like she is the odd one out in this case.
If you mean the image gallery, it's in the menu. if you mean the replay gallery, sadly there isn't one. I didn't think to add it early on, and now there are just too many scenes. It's kind of long work to collect them, remove any code that might affect the path progression and make sure I am tracking the unlocks correctly.
Don't know how to report bugs, but it seems that for the academy exam, if you do the magic circle test first and fail the fireball, then even if you land the fireballs on the seperate targets you fail.
Checked that this was the issue by restarting from Chapter 2 again and did the targets first and I passed.
Also if you do the pass the practical first it seems to skip the need for the writen exam.
Reporting bugs here is fine, the only important thing is for me to see the report, after all. :)

Glad you got it solved. I will say that you should be able to switch among a few modes using F5 and F6, so you can try those out as well, if you want to see the difference. The game is very low resolution, so it's going to look pixellated, but that's not something I can fix, sadly.

hi I came across this gem of a game yesterday. halfway through the game already and I must comment on the pics are so beautiful, especially the mc and the story is quite intriguing. You rarely see rpg games with consistent drawing and that to so beautiful to look at .
I just cannot get enough of the story and the artwork. Congrats to the artist of the game and the writer ( if both of it's you I have no words to say ,any sort of praise after that will just not be enough for you and I mean it :) )

1)is there any romance path with any of the characters?
2)if there is such a path can it be lesbian?

The game actually got 2 different main artists over the years (plus a handful of one-offs, and several more for the non-sexy parts), so it's not as consistent as I would like, but I think it looks good verall, and I am happy to hear you liked the art.
I do the writing and design myself, but not the art. It already takes too much time as it is, I can't imagine trying to do the art myself!
There are certain paths which are romantic in nature, and some are with girls (in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the relationships you can get are with ladies, actually). I don't know how much you have seen of the game already, but there is a fair amount of BDSM content. I generally don't do extreme content, as I am a bit squimish. XD
I hope you'll have fun in the future as well! By the way, you should have a link in the game folder to the "H-scenes list". It's fairly incomplete, but it might give you an idea for some of the characters and their romance (if there is romance to be found with them).

I'm sorry to ask but how do I enroll at the Academy?
In chapter 1, you should get a quest from Charles (he is a guy outside of the mage guild). No matter who you side with, they recommend you and in chapter 2 you get a letter from the academy (you might have to go to sleep before receiving the letter). After you read the letter, just go to the academy (it's in Tarkas, in the noble district) and talk to the girl at the desk. You have to pay to take the exams, so maybe save before if you try to get in.

In the cloak and dagger quest i cant find the safe
There are some hints in the dialogue, but basically you must cast a lightning spell on the two statues near the top-left and top-right corners of the second floor for the safe to appear. Remember that you have a link to the walkthrough in the game folder, that should give you more help if you need it.
With the werewolf how does one rise in the ranks?
You must talk to each member (starting from the lowest one in the ranks) and challenge them (or ask them what it would take to recognize you as above them). Each one has different standards. Currently, you can't challenge the alpha but this will change in the future.
there is a glitch that if a quest takes place at a time when you have a scheduled job you will still be teleported to the job and glitch out of the quest area
Could you tell me which quest(s) gave you this issue? I should be able to fix this, but it would be difficult to search for them on my own.
the one I encountered this glitch on was Noblesse Oblige and it made me not use the system much more after that so don't know what other quests this might happen on
Okay, this one will be fixed in version 0.9998. It's pretty rare for quests to force a time skip mid-quest, and off the top of my head, I can't remember if there are any other in Tarkas (which is the only place where the schedule should trigger). I think you should be fine using the schedule, but I can understand if you don't want to risk it (the schedule has been a very late addition, and so it hasn't been tested with a full playthrough).
some how update override my old file and so i lost my save file
New installs shouldn't come with saves, so I am not sure what happened. Sometimes, there are issues with files being set to "read-only", and that can delete files when you try to save over an old file. A similar thing can happen if the game is installed in a folder which doesn't give you full access.
Other than trying to recover the lost files with a program like recuva, and maybe move the game to a different folder (like, something inside documents) to test if it happens again, I don't know what you could do.
also can you add some kind of notification for new updated quest like genshin impact ? it a pain to know what is new
I am not familiar with how Genshin Impact does it. I have a changelog on my Patreon, so if you play from version to version, you should be able to figure out what's new that way.

I see! An NPC with news about accessible quests you haven't discovered yet is an interesting idea, I'll think about how to add that into the game. Maybe a journalist or a beggar whom can tell you what's the "word on the street".
I love everything about this game, BUT it really needs an upgrade to MV/MZ to account for different screen resolutions, mouse / touch interaction, etc. What are the chances?
Safe to say, 0 chance. There are too many scripts (some of my own and a lot from third parties), which wouldn't be easily converted. If I ever make another RPG Maker game, I'll pick MZ (assuming something better doesn't come up later), but for Caliross, we are stuck on VX Ace.

Definitely sounds like a problem. What happens when you try to save? Is it possible the game folder and the file inside are set to "read-only"? If that happens, trying to overwrite a save causes issues, I think.

Hey I have a problem with V0.9995. After the Quest One More Song, the transformation options are locked (they are greyed out and make buzz sound). I can't use transformation for Mouse and Fish form. I got stuck in the Quest Rendez-vous With Fate, because you needed Fish transformation.
Any solutions for this? My only option now is not doing One More Song Quest.

Yup, found it. Its good, though still wish there was a Minotaur path. But eh, that is just me. :D Still enjoying and discovering all the paths and quests.
We do have a few more months ahead, since patrons voted for more content to be included in the 1.0 release, so maybe Neroma will get more content, at least. I wouldn't count on it, since I still need to finish the game eventually, but maybe there is enough leeway now.

Ah, sorry, you probably got access to this too early because of a bug (it's part of a quest, but in the latest release you can access it even without starting it).
I'll be updating the walkthrough this week, but I'd recommend loading a previous save, if you didn't get here because of the quest.

I am really sorry, I should have been more careful about that one. I hope you didn't lose a lot of progress. By the way: in general, I recommend using multiple save slots, there are a lot of possible branches and such, and sometimes you might want to re-do some stuff, if you don't like the final result.

How to start the new cowgirl quest? I've finished the "Party Hard" and proceeded to Chapter 5 but the quest didn't begin.
I assume you also have the zanti maid and have progressed far enough in the cowgirl path to where you choose if you want a bad end or keep working for them outside the farm.
The other requirement is talking to Angelica in the morning or the afternoon (might have to talk to her twice, if you never spoke to her before).

No problem. The walkthrough needs some updates for the most recent quests, and should have probably been organized better, but it should cover almost everything you need. :)
I was considering if I should give this game a look, and litterally this line made me decided not to...

I'm just sort of tired of the amount of adult games on Itch.io where the female protags are always the submissive partners, getting shit done to them and never being the ones who instigate it, like if you are playing a male character you get a power fantasy, if you are a female protag you are someones bitch. It's getting tiring for me.
Well, obviously the game isn't for everyone. You can have regular relationships and some with a slighly dominant slant for the protagonist, but the bulk of the content is submissive in nature. You can pick and choose (there is almost no content you can't avoid, assuming you don't fail a mission and get stuck with some mind-control artifact, or lower your willpower enough that you can't say no in the few instances where that matters), but my games have always been this way.
I am sorry if this message came off as harsh, it's just a trend I'm seeing with a lot of these types of adult games and I just wished it wasn't the case.
No problem, I can understand wanting something different, especially if you feel like most games aren't catering to you (I usually don't like most games with a male protagonist XD).
On the plus side, making games is easier than ever. Maybe you can try your hand at it, if you feel like that angle really isn't covered, currently. You don't need to make a sprawling epic for your first game (in fact, I'd recommend you don't try something big at first), and it can be fun (although I'll say that playing a game and making one are completely different experiences, so it won't necessarily satisfy your desire to play a certain type of game). When I first started, I made text adventures as a hobby at first, without any Patreon or even donations for quite a while (I didn't even consider it at first, I just wanted to make games), and it's perfectly viable.
Anyway, getting back on track, the game is free, so you can try it out, and see if there is anything for you (of course, it's still going to cost you time, but it can't get cheaper than that).
I appreciate the encouragement, it has been something I have been considering for some time, as I'm mostly an artist and streamer myself, not really a game dev kinda person. But the notion of 'fine I'll do it myself' has popped into my head.
I think that's a good motivator (I made at least one game out of disappointment in how choices and consequences are treated in videogame sequels, for example). As long as you have (or develop) an understanding for logic and puzzle solving, making games is possible (it can be easier or harder, depending on your platform of choice, and how much you want to customize the game).
